Photography wasn’t a module I studied at university, but it’s something I’ve always genuinely enjoyed, so I took the initiative to develop my skills independently. Over time, I gained hands-on experience by experimenting, practising, and teaching myself how to capture the kind of images I envisioned. I used my own photography throughout many of my modules because taking my own pictures not only gave me more creative control, but also produced far better results than trying to source images elsewhere. This self-driven approach has strengthened my visual storytelling and allowed me to bring a more personal and authentic style to my work.
